My Bebe Boy Boy

my dear bebe is so super cute...
yesterday evening, i caught him lying down in front of my laptop which was left open on the floor.. he was looking into the screen and for a second, I was wondering if he understands what he is looking at.
he's my smart boy.. learns things fast.. his tricks and politics at home.. making him our "new king" at home... even my mum who used to detest the idea of bringing him home, sewed a new bed for him so that he can sleep comfortably in my bedroom with me every night now.

Ah Finally!!!

hey hey.. i am back~!

havent been able to upload any pictures hence i seemed to be MIA.

Finally managed to correct the problem!

Firstly, I wanna post some cool pics of dogs which I took in Europe. They're pretty exotic i guess... we dun normally see these breeds in Singapore.

Isnt he sweet? I wanna bring him home~!

Next are some pictures that I took in a dog show held in Expo.




I am pretty envious of some of the people there. My dear bebe isn't as cooperative though he is realli brilliant.. He's still very anti-social i guess.. barking at anyone who walk near us. And he gets super excited when other dogs walk pass us. We have consulted a trainer there and we're considering to send him for some training and social events. Hopefully it will work and I can bring him out to more places :P

Bebe - A different morning

Chirping of birds, laughters, chats and bristling of leaves filled another sunday morning at Bishan Park. 'Rau rau rau!!!' - the picture of peaceful serenity was immediately... SHATTERED! 'Rau rau rau!!!' A frequency that could shatter even the toughest glass sank into the park.. Faces changed, jaws hit the ground, at that very instant Shirley and me were accomplices to a excessive barker -BEBE!!!! Looked around, there wasn't a single paper bag big enough to contain my big head.. I resigned to fate and continued the stroll..

Time seemed to pause.... Everything seemed to be in slow mo.. BEBE was the star in this movie... Everyone paused at what they were doing as his barks threatened to break their ear drums... OMG!!!! N u thought it couldn't get worse.. JI GA BOM! His dung was released like a bomb off his arse... In shades of yellowish brown, I watched in despair as the bomb touched down to the ground.. With a matrix like response, I stopped time and dived forward with the papers to contain the next dung that followed! Success! However, damage has been effected by the previous bombing, I had to do post war recovery.. clearing of the dung.. -_-"

Our King pin - BEBE showed traits of the chow yun fat as he peed one legged style whilst limping with the other forward. Every drop of pee reached patches of grass with their fatal acid. No escape for the whole patch.. With his never ending ammunition of bullets and bombs, I felt there would never be a more embarrassing day where I would wana just dig a hole and hide inside..

As we walked past the dog running area where many WELL BEHAVED dogs were let to run around and make friends, our adorable delinquent was whining and complaining why he couldnt join in! Reason was simple.. -_-" cos he lacked social ettiquete.. YES as parents of this fella, Shirley and I have some responsibility to take....

The morning finally wound up as the dung clearing soldier, king pin and his mother escaped in a sporty Suzuki swift..

Mummy is gg away for 3 weeks

I'll be leaving for Europe for 3 weeks..
have delegated duties to take care of my bebe...
haha...
he shud do fine coz everyone loves him..
he's a super spoilt boy...
he has been sleeping in my room for the past few days
and never too shy to help himself with my bed..
this morning, he refused to be carried down by my granny..
he was growling at her early at 6am..
hahaha

Dogs are more than men's best friend

A great example on how dogs can help us. I read an article on Yahoo news just a few minutes ago.

Meet our hero, Paddy, a black labrador aka DVD-sniffing anti-piracy dog on the left. He helped enforcement officials who carried out raids last week in southern Johor state. Think again if you are going to trade or deliver pirated DVDs. Paddy will sniff you out! :P

SPCA Volunteering on 1st June

This time I got to feed the puppies!! Haha... but they are really rough.. Think becoz they are teething, they kept biting me! My forearms were all scared at the end of the session.

I was overwhelmed with mixed emotions when I first glanced past all the cages. Alfie, Tootsie, Marco, Poppy are all gone!!! I am really happy for them becoz they got adopted in such a short time. But I can't help feeling a little sad that I can't get to play with them anymore :P

Noya is still as whiny as before, especially after bathing. She looked as if she was singing.. Haha.. coz she just went on n on n on... Poor Luna was shifted to the back, hidden in a corner. She's a mongrel but a really sweet one... I managed to get a short video of her but the video converter that i have downloaded couldn't convert everything to mpeg :P Here's it:








This is Luna's neighbour. I "rescued" a visitor and her skirt from him :P he's really mischevious.

Looking Forward to 1st June

I will be going for my 2nd volunteering time with SPCA on Monday.
Really looking forward to it.

I hope Alfie is still around. He's so sweet~! That's his picture from SPCA's website. Isn't he adorable? Well, then again, I hope he finds a good home soon. He's a little chubby. Haha.. needs to exercise more.. like me :P

My First Volunteer Day at SPCA

I had a lot of fun at SPCA. The afternoon shift is really great for first-timers. I think if you love dogs and do not have time to take care of one of your own, go be a volunteer at SPCA. Here's why:

The afternoon shift is less taxing as the dogs were all fed. As a volunteer, my job was just to ensure that the dogs have water to drink, clean up their pee and poop and spend the rest of the time playing with them.

It's kind of a dream come true. I have always wanted to work around with many dogs. I have always preferred toy dogs cause they are all so cute and adorable. My experience today allowed me to play with a golden retriever and a siberian husky.

The siberian husky was a tricky one to handle... Her name is Nova. Cold and intimidating they always appear to be to me, she was no exception. She was hiding behind her plastic bed in a corner, peeping at people walking pass her cage. Never judge a book by its cover. It took me 2 attempts to be brave enough to enter her cage. Only to find a whiny, playful Noya who tried to do a waltz with me so many times. She has beautiful red and white fur. But she's a little too skinny. She will need a good family who can give her warmth and better food. On the right is a picture of her that I have taken from SPCA's website.

Actions speak louder than words

Today will be my first time volunteering my time at SPCA.
I will be there for the afternoon shift in the dogs section...
I am so looking forward to it~!!!
I've always wanted to do something for the dogs.
So here's my first baby step...

This is my first post in my new blog.

Something to try out for my passion and love for dogs. Though the template is a little shady, we just have to settle with it for now. I'll try to upload a nice one after I figure out how to use Photoshop or Fireworks..

I decide to start a blog about us after watching Marley & I. I think it will be pretty cool to have something to reflect on when he gets older.. I have also been compiling a photo album of him.. he's so super cute and adorable~!
